logo Switching from Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 9.10 is always a pain because you need to reinstall all the applications which i was using previously . I was also thinking how to replicate my company working Ubuntu 9.10 application environment to my personal desktop at home.

I found this great  tool APTonCD which did solve my problem. You can install all the application with out Internet connectivity which is an added plus for me :) .

APTonCD is a tool with a graphical interface which allows you to create CD or DVD with all of the packages you’ve downloaded via APT-GET or APTITUDE, creating a removable repository that can be used on other computers.

Orkut’s New Feature of Friend Suggestions Similar To Facebook

October 12th, 2009

As I had posted earlier about Top 10 Social Networking Site , Orkut is one of them , more popular in India & Brazil.

As the title suggests the New feature of orkut , it is similar to facebook’s sidebar feature of Friend Suggestions. Facebook has adapted many features of orkut like the alignment of the whole homepage when they changed recently. Now its Orkut’s turn to do that , but I really liked the ajax – type effect in orkut rather in facebook because in FB its very plane as a sidebar , but in the case of Orkut it looks more professional & easy to use too.
