Create your own Game Trainer (an alternate to cheat codes)

Game Trainers are the alternative for cheat codes for cheating games. The advantage of these trainers is when you run a game & with that game trainer running you don’t need to enter cheat codes throughout the Game. Game Trainer does this job automatically.

The Back-end:
Game Trainers are a small exe file (around 50kb). They directly interact with memory address and freeze a particular address, like if you have are playing a game and in that game health is an address if we freeze that then heath will never decrease.

The Play:
I have decide to use minesweeper as a game because everyone will have that game and lets create trainer for that game.

Click Start > Run > Winmine

Our winmine is running.
Now open Tsearch (tsearch.exe)

We have to decide which object we need to cheat. In this game we need to cheat the time that runs in minesweeper. So that we can take lot of time to solve the game.

Now Select “Open Process” in TSearch and select “winmine.exe”

Its time to find the address of that timer in minesweeper.
Initially the time is 000 so we know the exact value of the timer. It will be bit easy as we know exact value.
So in Tsearch let us select “Init New Search”

Now we have to enter some following things
We can see search, value & type.
In Search we have Exact value, Range, Unknow Value.
In this game we know the exact value ie “0″ but in some games we will not be knowing any value so we have to choose unknow value.
Here we know the value so select “Exact Value”.
In the Value enter 0. (This is our value)
And in type select 1 byte. Become the value is just using 1byte.
Click Ok

We get some result. ie is show all the address which is having value = 0.

Now we have to iterate it because we cant find which one is the timer address. So we have to repeat the Process.
So lets start the game. As we start the game timer also changes.

Now let us re-search again. By selecting “Search Next” in TSearch

Here in Search field we have to select “Has Changed” because the clock is running.
And select 1byte as type.

Again we get some address.

We may have more address so we need to repeat the “Search Next” process several times till we reach around 10 address so that it will be easy for us to find among those 10 address.

Finally after repeating i found only one address whose value has changed

Now we found the Timer address. We have to freeze that address.
Select the Address & Click on “Add selected line to the table”
That address you selected will be added.

In this table we can edit the value. Now double click on the value column and change it to 1.
And in the description we can see a checkmark button. Click on it. Now it checks. This means you are freezing the value 1 for the address that you have selected.

Now restart the game by clicking on the Smiley and you can see that the timer is not running.
Finally you made it.
