Twitter unlocks “Lists” as beta and only for few

Today I suddenly logged into my twitter account (talksomething) and i found something new above the what are you doing ? text box. Its none other than Lists.

Twitter team are really working and getting new things to make that site more user friendly.

So what is a List in Twitter ?

Well Lists are something you can create and organize people and help other users to follow all of them at once by just following list.

Example: You are a fan of TalkonSomething so i will create talkonsomething list and organize people who involve in talkonsomething so with one click you follow all of them.

This is how you make a list:

Firstly, this is a beta version and is yet not available to all users, luckily i had the chance to use it on my account :) .

According to the above pic click on Create a new List

Give a list name. I am giving “offlinefriends” so that all my friends near my place can be grouped together.

Now give the Privacy level, there are 2 levels one is public (that means any one can follow the list) or private (only you can select who can follow). Well i am going for private because i want to make list who is near to my place and i often meet them :P

And finally hit the Create List button.

Yippee finally done. Now organize people from the following page with a simple check mark option on a person.

You can share your list easily as a unique URL will be create like “http://twitter.com/#/TalkSomething/offlinefriends”

The boring side:

I thing this wont make us bored but we get a change to follow 100′s of users at once. :)
